The New Kid’s Silly Joke

In a small town, a new kid named Tommy moved in. He was excited to start at his new school, but also a little nervous. On his first day, he wanted to make friends. Tommy had a great idea! He decided to tell a silly joke to break the ice.

At lunchtime, Tommy sat down at a table with some other kids. He took a deep breath and said, “Hey everyone, do you know why the bicycle couldn’t stand up by itself?” The other kids looked at him, curious about the answer. Tommy grinned and continued, “Because it was two-tired!”

The lunchroom erupted in laughter. The joke was so silly that even the teachers couldn’t help but chuckle. Tommy felt a wave of relief wash over him. Making the other kids laugh made him feel like he belonged.

After lunch, Tommy made a few new friends who wanted to hear more of his silly jokes. They played games and shared stories, and by the end of the day, Tommy realized that being the new kid wasn’t so scary after all.
